Justin Verlander struck out 11 batters and held the Yankees to one run in six innings, while Yuli Gurriel, Chas McCormick and Jeremy Peña cranked solo homers to send the Astros to a 4-2 win in Game 1 of the American League Championship Series on Wednesday night at Minute Maid Park. The Yankee offense was futile except for the efforts of Harrison Bader and Anthony Rizzo.
